Lead Field Inspection Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Set up, implement and execute a comprehensive development plan as per the inspection competence framework.
• Support in the structured development of DHKs to fulfill line positions from Inspector up Lead Field Inspection positions.
• Support DHK staff in the Implementation of the asset integrity management process and repairs assessment including RBI, inspection planning, data management, MOC, repair/replacement assessment.
• Support DHK staff in Investigation of equipment failure by identifying relevant failure modes, applying appropriate inspection techniques and testing.
• Assure a level of competence in the following:-
- Visual inspection techniques of pressure/process equipment including but not limited to pressure vessels, process piping, and storage tanks.
- Visual identification of damage mechanisms
- Plant inspection and proper reporting in CIMS
- NDT methods and certification
- Quality assurance
- RBI (risked Based Inspection) and the methodology
- Materials engineering
- Coatings
- Fitness for service
- Proactive and effective communication
• Supervisory activities and soft skills

• Thorough understanding of asset integrity management process
• Ability to work with a team and as an individual
• Ability to cope with fast changing priorities and fluctuations in workload;
• Strong organizational ability and problem solving skills

Requirements:
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Corrosion Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
• Minimum of 6-8 years in service inspection experience preferably in oil & gas industry
• Strong conventional and advanced NDT technique knowledge
• Minimum of 5 years in new construction QA/QC experience
• AWS certified welding inspector, NDT Level II certification, API 510/570/653 certification or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Experience in a similar role within an international corporate environment.
• Exposure to both onshore and offshore operations and/or project experience will be an advantage.
• Experience of working in harsh geographical and /or technical environments (e.g. temperature extremes, high pressure reservoirs) would be beneficial.
• Appreciative and understanding of diverse cultures
