Materials & Corrosion Engineer
Location: Atyrau
Work pattern: 5/2

• Implement Corrosion Monitoring and mitigation plans.
• Provide options and recommendations relating to corrosion engineering issues.
• Identify key/critical process and material to be used.
• Execute procedures and plans in order to control corrosion levels
• Support Materials/Corrosion Activities in RBI process
• Provide support in the development of the CMS / IMS and its interaction with the OIS (particularly CMMS)
• Assist in the definition of plant modifications related to Material/corrosion
• Provides Materials & Corrosion support to Operation, and requires an effective interface with the Operations organization for Process facilities and/or Asset Managers for Infrastructure facilities. Level II:
• Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character, but usually involves limited responsibilities.

Competences:
• According to Competence requirements for TA3 Materials & Corrosion under the Mechanical, Materials & Integrity discipline (reference DCAF)
• Investigation of equipment failure by analysing failure modes and relating them to manufacturing or operating causes;
• Risk-based integrity management methodologies, risk-based inspections and integrity operating windows
• Good communication skills, fluent in both written and spoken English, including the ability to make presentations and write effective reports;
• Ability to work in a team environment, communicate, understand and work within the dynamics of a multi functional and multi location environment;
• Strong team player with a proactive approach to the decision making process

Requirements:
• Degree or HNC in Mechanical Engineering, or Corrosion Engineering.
• Professional work in engineering. Requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience. An employee in this classification applies professional skill and knowledge to engineering projects in the field or to projects of equal complexity in an office. Responsibilities may extend to providing technical guidance to graduate engineers, para-professionals and other support staff. Work is generally reviewed by a higher level engineer though periodic conferences and a final check of completed projects and reports.Previous experience in the Corrosion engineering in oil and gas complex would be advantageous; 
• Computer literate and be able to prepare and make presentations;
• Preferable to have qualification/certification in one of the areas such as:
- mechanical testing of materials, non-destructing testing;
- Coating, cathodic protection, welding and inspection of pressure equipment (pipelines/tanks, etc.)
