Salary:
The financial controller has overall responsibility for development and execution of financial – economic policies of the enterprise. He / she supports the managing director and the board of directors and acts as managing director in his/her absence.
Regular duties include
• Responsibility of financial planning and policy execution for all group companies
• Responsibility for the financial administration of all group companies
• Lead the financial / administrative department
• Produce consolidations and economic analysis for the entire organisation
• Advise the managing director on all financial matters
• Responsible for H.R.
• Responsible for I.T.
• Responsible for purchase department.
• Acting as primarily contact person for suppliers of most critical raw materials
• Stand in for the managing director in his/her absence
• Follow up on all legal matters
• Represent, together with managing director, the company in board meetings and shareholders meetings.
• Responsible for all matters concerning Insurance
• Support sales department on tenders for critical customers
• Contact person towards fiscal authorities, auditors and bankers
• Contact person towards shareholders for all financial matters
Incidental duties include
• Joint editor of strategic plan for the company and preparing business plans
• Coordinating Due Dilligence investigations
Qualifications:
• Accounting Degree, certification preferred
• 10+ years accounting experience, preferably with a Western company
• Supervisory experience, with a strong personality
• SAP knowledge
• US GAAP knowledge / experience
• Kazakhstan tax / statutory knowledge
• Prefer candidate with prior experience with mining operations
• Fluent in English – writing / speaking
